The Wise Teacher

There was once a leader of a major monastery in China who was known for his purposeful teaching. However, instead of lecturing people on his teachings and getting lost in theory and concept, he would demonstrate his purposefulness by sweeping the steps of the monastery with all his being. People would come to the monastery gate inquiring about the teacher of the monastery, and the “sweeper” would say. “The teacher is teaching now.”
